Meet the Team
Robert Klein, Owner/Technician/Rebuilder
Robert has worked in the transmission industry for over 30 years. At age 8, he disassembled his first transmission (C6). At age 13, he built a Turbo 350 with the assistance of his Dad. Since then he worked for his family’s businesses, remanufacturing torque converters, and rebuilding transmissions. Ever since moving to NC in 1996, he has grown in the industry and connecting with his passion for helping people fix their vehicles the right way.
He moved to NC, following his soon to be wife, because he wanted a fresh start. Growing up in NY, NC was a nice change. The weather is warmer for longer during the year, so he can ride his motorcycle for many more months of the year. He also enjoys heading to WDW in FL for vacations with his wife and sometimes his 2 nieces, which he adores all 3 of them. He worked for Ralph Smith at Cottman of Garner, NC for over 10 years, continuing to build his reputation. Learning all he could from Ralph until he “retired” from the transmission industry in 2011. In 2011 he opened Real World Automotive to bring his knowledge and love for the automotive trade to all. They are now well on their way, trying to reach all that need assistance with their vehicles.
